School News

  • Thanksgiving Math and Reading Minutes: Over extended breaks, teachers send home math activities and a reading calendar for students. This is to keep students engaged over the long breaks. We encourage students to fill up their calendar with math games and reading. Please return these calendars after break to receive a special prize and an extra recess! You can find them hereMath Message and Calendar.
  • THANKSGIVING HOMEWORK PACKETS
  • Masks: In order to minimize the risk of COVID for our school community, everyone MUST wear a MASK when on school property.  It is our goal to remain in an in-person learning environment as much as possible.  We greatly appreciate your cooperation and please continue to wear masks at arrival and dismissal times.
  • Symptom Free School: Please continue to call the attendance line at 720-424-9398 to report your student is sick with any symptoms or will be tardy. If your child has any symptoms at school, he/she will be sent home. We appreciate parents being extra vigilant to keep our students and staff safe!

**In case you haven’t noticed, the positive cases in Denver and Colorado are at a high point heading into the fall and holiday season.**

  • From the Nurse: Here is another resource to find vaccines for children and adults and boosters for adults: https://covid19.colorado.gov/kids-vaccines?fbclid=IwAR20T5iqXal3EvJimcps3xle9YU3z48pCNYZ5DdWsRPR5Ve_e6lulzGPbls  Also, the state of Colorado is partnering with the Colorado Rockies to host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Coors Field on Saturday, Nov. 20. The clinic will be open for anyone age 5 and up to receive a first, second or booster dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. This clinic will operate from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Coors Field (2001 Blake St.) Those who get vaccinated can get a photo taken with Rockies mascot, Dinger, and can receive additional giveaways including Rockies promotional jerseys, hats, and baseball cards while supplies last. For more information, see this flier in English and Spanish. As we head into the holiday season, our goal is to have students age 5 and older fully vaccinated by winter break. Families can visit our website to find more information on upcoming vaccine clinics.

This is a great opportunity to get out Thanksgiving morning, be a part of the community and get some exercise before the holiday festivities begin. We will meet at the Eisenhower Rec Center parking lot and will run/walk along the beautiful Highline Canal. There is a suggested donation of $10 per person or max $30 per family (cash and Venmo only) and all money raised will go to Bradley International to help a family in need for the Christmas season. No need to register or sign up prior to the run. We’ll see you at the Rec center, pay, have some coffee, and then run, trot, walk!
