News from the Nest….

  • huge THANK YOU to families who were able to help with our Bradley Holiday Wish List! We are so blessed to have such a generous community!
  • Winter weather has arrived! To celebrate, we will have a SPIRIT WEEK! We look forward to seeing all the great winter spirit!

School News

  • Holiday Spirit Week: December 14-18th we will celebrate the last week of school before winter break with a Winter Spirit Week! Monday will be wear Holiday Color Day (wear red, green, blue, winter whites)Tuesday will be Mad about Plaid DayWednesday will be wear Cold/Winter Weather Gear Day (wear hats, scarves, mittens, sweaters, etc.)Thursday will be wear Holiday Staycation Day (Hawaiian shirts, flip-flops, sunglasses, shorts etc.); and Friday will be wear Ugly Sweater Day.
  • DPS Return to School Plan: DPS sent out information regarding the plan to return to school in January 2021. We will begin remotely from January 5th – January 8th. All Center Based Programs and ECE-5th Grade classes will return to in-person learning on January 11th.
  • DPS Meal Pick Up: DPS is still offering daily meals for DPS students. The closest distribution site for Bradley students is Hamilton Middle School. Pick up breakfast and lunch between 11:00am – 1:00pm Monday-Friday. Please find more information on meal sites and possible delivery sites in your area: DPSMealService
  • Mr. Wera’s Town Hall Meeting: Join Mr. Wera on Thursday, December 17th at 4:30pm for a Town Hall meeting about our return to school in January. DPS announced that we will be starting remotely and transitioning into in-person. Zoom link is in the School Deet/Messenger.
  • Grade Level Materials Distribution and pick-up Lifetouch pictures next week. Please look for information from your child’s teacher for dates and times.
  • TreeRing Yearbook: Order over the holiday and create your 2 free pages! See the attached flyer to see how to get started on your own personalized 2 pages for your yearbook. Order online: Go to www.treering.com/validate. Enter your school’s passcode: 1015403147971338. TreeRingPersonalPages
  • Outpouring of care for our Bradley students on the Bradley Holiday Wish List! Thank you to everyone who was able to drop off their items for our Bradley student Wish Lists this week. If you haven’t dropped off your items or donations, please drop them by the main office on Monday, December 14th. If you would still like to donate, please consider a monetary donation to help fill in the wish lists and provide meals for families to Mrs. Maggio through Paypal or Venmo at Karen-Maggio-3. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!

Community Happenings

  • The outdoor holiday market at University Hills Plaza on Saturdays is the place to be, 11am-3pm. You’ll find it near the main entrance on Colorado Blvd. It’s local everything such as Everybody Must Get Scones, Milford Spice, Mom’s Pralines, The Basted Egg and a whole bunch more. The market runs four (4) Saturdays on 12/12 and 12/19.
  • Chabad Jewish Center: Join the Chabad Jewish Center at their new location at 6100 E Belleview Ave for a Drive Thru Chanukah Wonderland on Saturday, December 12 from 1:00pm-4:30pm. To RSVP and to find out more information: DenverJewishCenter.com
