News from the Nest….

  • Remember: NO SCHOOL on Monday or Tuesday, February 21st and 22nd.
  • Our IB Evaluation went smoothly and we received a lot of positive feedback! Our students that participated did an amazing job and we’d like to thank those in the community who supported us through the process!
  • Today, we practiced our fire drill! It was a 4 minute drill. Ask your child(ren) about our drills!
  • 5th Grade Exhibition is next Friday! Look for a separate messenger with all their important projects!

School News

  • DPS Mask Mandate: We will know more about the updated mask mandate next week and will send updated information in next Friday’s Deet. To see DPS Mask Mandate updates, please see the Bradley Website: DPS Mask Mandate
  • Bradley Summer Camp: We are planning another Summer Camp at Bradley for the month of June (June 6th – July 1st)! Registration packets with Teachers/Themes and activities planned, will come home and be available online on the Bradley website on Friday, March 4th. Thank you for your patience!
  • DPS Summer Connections 2022 (formerly Summer Academy): Summer Connections is a FREE full day, 6 week program available in all DPS regions for ALL rising 1st-5th grade students that combines literacy, math, and science. Students will engage in hands-on enrichment experiences in STEM, Art and Spark Career Exploration. Students may receive individual or small group tutoring. See Summer Connections Information. Enrollment is on a first come, first serve basis!
  • Kids Heart Challenge: Are we there yet? Complete Finn’s Mission to get a little closer to our destination of better health. Finn has had multiple heart surgeries.   • Enrichment Sessions: Session 3 Enrichment will end on March 3rd. Session 4 flyers will be sent home in Friday Folders on March 3rd (March 4th is a First Friday). Session 4 Enrichment will start the week of March 14th. Also, find the After School Enrichment page on the Bradley website.

PTO News

  • Tuesday, February 22nd is the ultimate Taco Tuesday or should we say Taco TWOsday! Support Bradley on 2-2-22 and eat at Torchy’s Tacos on Hampden (6325 E. Hampden Ave., Denver, CO 80222). They’re open from 10AM to 10PM, so you can enjoy tacos for lunch or dinner! Dine-in or carry-out but be sure to show them this flyer or tell them that you’re supporting Bradley Elementary – our orders do not count unless we let them knowThere is no online order code, so it’s especially important to mention this Bradley fundraiser when you pick-up your order so the school gets credit for your delicious tacos. See attached flyer.
  • The PTO is seeking parents to join PTO leadership for the 2022/2023 school year. If you have a passion for our incredible school and would like to help with school improvements, classroom support and fun events, we want to meet you! We’re seeking the next generation of Bradley parents to be a part of PTO, as most of our current PTO leadership have students with only a year left at Bradley. Community Happenings

  • Colorado Motorcycle Expo 2022: February 19 & 20: National Western Complex: Running since 1978, the Colorado Motorcycle Expo is not only the largest indoor swap meet in America but also the largest motorcycle show in the Rocky Mountains. Join over 20,000 other motorcycle enthusiasts for live music, tattoo competitions, and, of course, plenty of motorcycles. Taking place at the National Western Complex on Saturday and Sunday, February 19th and 20th, 2022, the 43rd annual expo is ideal for those looking to buy and sell custom components. There are also over a dozen competitions with $7,000 worth of prizes. And if you don’t yet own a motorcycle, you can check out the used bike corral on the lower floor of the expo.
  • University of Colorado Denver Adventure Trips: Colorado is an outdoor lover’s paradise, and we’re here to help you explore it all! CU Denver adventure trips give participants diverse opportunities to learn about themselves, their classmates, the university, and the great outdoors. Trips include hiking, climbing, dog sledding, stand up paddle boarding, camping and much more! Check below for this semester’s offerings!
