Principal Update

Welcome Back and Happy New Year!

What a whirlwind of a week back! As we dive into the new year, we want to remind parents to send students to school with boots, hats, gloves, and warm clothing for outdoor recess. With colder temperatures and snow days upon us, it’s important that students are prepared to stay warm. If the weather permits and the playground is cleared, we will have outside recess, so let’s ensure our kids are bundled up and ready to enjoy the fresh air!

We are also excited to welcome new team members to our school community! Emma Norman has joined us as a Long Term Substitute in 3rd-grade, and she brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her classroom, emphasizing the importance of building a sense of belonging and building relationships. Additionally, we are thrilled to have Anna Ligouri one of  our  new paraprofessionals supporting our AN Center. These wonderful additions to our staff align with our IB vision by fostering collaboration, inclusivity, and a commitment to developing the whole child. We can’t wait to see the positive impact they will make on our students and school community!

Staff Shout Out

This week, we want to celebrate our staff’s commitment and dedication for creating an amazing experience for our students as we ease back into the groove after our break. It has been inspiring to see how each of you have focused on re-establishing rituals and routines, ensuring a smooth transition for our kids.

The energy and positivity are palpable throughout the school—students and staff alike are recharged and ready to learn. Your efforts truly embody the IB attributes of Caring and Balanced. By prioritizing students’ well-being and maintaining a harmonious environment, you’ve set the tone for a successful year ahead.

Thank you for showing your heart and balance every day. Let’s keep this momentum going as we inspire our learners! 🌟

Bradley Summer Camp

We’ve had some questions about whether or not we’ll be hosting the Bradley Summer Camp this summer. The Bond initiative was passed that may impact the building this summer. Unfortunately, we will not know if there will be building work at Bradley this summer until sometime in March the latest. We will let you know as soon as we know.

Lost & Found Area
Please have your student(s) check the lost and found. It is overflowing with missing coats, sweatshirts, shoes, boots, lunchboxes, water bottles. A way to ensure items are returned to your student is to make sure their name is on these types of items. Feel free to stop by to check the lost and found. All items will be donated on Friday, January 17th. Thank you!

Session 3 After School Enrichment Class
The next session of after school clubs will be from the week of January 13th through the week of March 3rd. Please mark your calendars once you’ve signed up for a club so you know the days of clubs. Please make sure payments are made directly to the instructor within the first 3 weeks of the session (the office does not handle payments or make change, make sure you bring exact change for each club if you are paying cash) via Venmo/check or cash, otherwise students will no longer be able to keep attending classes.

News from the Nurse
Thank you all for the donations! Currently, we are in need of pants for 1st and 2nd grade age kiddos. Or please send an extra pair of pants for your student – the blacktop gets wet as well as the playground equipment. Thanks!
January IB Learner Profile
The Learner Profile for the month of January is Balanced.  Those who are balanced understand the importance of intellectual, physical, and emotional balance to achieve personal well-being for themselves and others.

Activities for Parents

  • Encourage your child to participate in a wide variety of structured activities, such as soccer, Scouts, or ballet.
  • Discuss the food groups with your child and have them help plan a balanced meal.  Spending a few minutes during a mealtime deciding if what your family is eating is balanced is a good way to start a conversation about nutrition!
  • Let them help you grocery shop.
  • Your child has big eyes and big ears and notices everything you do.  Role model being balanced. Spend time as a parent or family doing many different things.
