Bradley Teacher Strike Update 2-8-19

Posted 02/09/2019

Hello Bradley Families,

This evening and possibly this weekend, Denver Classroom Teachers Association (DCTA) and Denver Public Schools are planning to continue negotiations.

In the event of a teacher strike, there will be NO ECE 3’s or 4’s due to State licensing requirements. Only ECE 3’s and 4’s will not report to school.

We will have school next week for grades K-5. The school day will not change and school hours will continue to be from 9:00 am – 3:45 pm. Breakfast will continue to be served from 8:30 am – 9:00 am everyday as well.

Again, we will do our best to provide a quality educational environment throughout the duration of the strike. We anticipate each grade-level schedule will remain relatively the same including lunch and specials times.

Most importantly, if you choose to send your student to school during the strike, your student will be cared for, fed, educated, and safe.

In the event of a teacher strike there will be NO after-school enrichment classes or tutoring.
*** Discovery Link will operate as normal.

I truly appreciate your continued commitment to Bradley International. We will continue to do our best during a possible strike to have as minimal impact on your child’s well-being as possible. Thank you for your patience and flexibility. I will continue to communicate any updates as needed.

Sincerely,

Mr. Wera
