Kindergarten & 1st Grade Return to School – Tomorrow!

Posted 09/29/2020

Hello Kindergarten and 1st Grade Families!

We are so excited to return to school tomorrow! We have missed you all so much!

Just a few reminders.

First – Please make sure you have your printed and signed At-Home Passive Screener ready at drop-off. A staff member will collect that and take your child’s temperature before they can enter the building.  If a student does not have a passive screener or their temperature is at or above 100.4, he/she will be asked to go to the Active Health Screening Area.  A different staff member will conduct an Active Health Screening and take the child’s temperature again prior to entering the school. If a student does not pass the Health Screener, meaning they have any of the symptoms, your child will need to stay at home. 2020-21 Bradley At-Home Symptom Screening for Parents  Or use the online Safe Access Application from your phone: SafeAccessApp

Second – School hours are 8:30 – 9:00 for drop off and dismissal at 3:00. At arrival and dismissal, please maintain social distancing and children will not be allowed to play on any of the playgrounds.  Arrival and Dismissal Map for Kinder and 1st Grade

  • Kindergarten location: Park on Plum Place and enter playground through archway.  Drop off & pick up students at class spot near the southwest side of building (near Kindergarten exterior doors).
  • 1st Grade location:   Drop off & pick up students at main entrance on Elm Street.

Third – All students and families should be wearing a mask upon arrival and hopefully have a few “extras” in their backpacks. At arrival and dismissal, please maintain social distancing and children will not be allowed to play on any of the playgrounds.

Fourth – Remember to send your student with a water bottle. The water fountains will not be in use but the refillable station will be open.

Fifth – All DPS students will receive free breakfast to start the day. And lunch is free as well. If you have not completed a DPS Lunch Application, please do so, this will enable DPS to continue the free breakfast and lunch for our students. https://www.myschoolapps.com/

Finally – please make sure to be patient as this is a new process for everybody!

Thank you!
