Bradley Weekly Newsletter
We had a fun filled week with exciting visitors and field trips. All Bradley students enjoyed a rockin’ assembly of “We Will Rock You” learning about the history of rock and roll. Our students were highly engaged and joined in with percussion instruments in the audience and on stage. Our ECE students went to the Denver Center of Performing Arts to see the Little Piggy Play. They also had special visitors from the police department who shared about helping people in our community. We hope you have a great weekend and enjoy our beautiful Colorado sunshine.

Community News
Optimist Club of Monaco South will have its Christmas Tree Lot open every day from Friday, November 29th through December 24th. This year, they are in the same area as last, at 2295 S. Monaco Parkway, in the Villa Monaco Shopping Center, NW corner of S. Monaco & E. Iliff. Again, we will have trees, wreaths, garland, tree stands, and other holiday accessories. In addition, on weekends from 10 am to 6 pm, Santa Claus is in residence at the Tree Lot’s heated Santa Haus to visit with the young and not-so-young at no charge or purchase obligation.
This is the club’s major fundraiser for the year and provides the funding foundation for more than thirty-five youth and community projects, including our Super Citizen Programs at Bradley International, Ellis Elementary, Hamilton Middle, Holm Elementary, Lowry Elementary, McMeen Elementary, Most Precious Blood, Samuels Elementary, and Slavens Elementary schools. Additionally, the club provides Thanksgiving and Christmas Day Food Baskets, Thanksgiving dinner to over 900 kids at the Boys and Girls Clubs/Girls Inc., and programs such as Respect for Law and Brain Bowl. Assistance is given to the Thomas Jefferson High School Sullivan College Scholarship Program, Eagle Scout Recognition, Multiple Sclerosis BikeMS event, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Children’s Cancer Research, and many other community projects.
The club sells five varieties of trees, tree stands, wreaths, and garland. Free delivery in a 10-mile radius is available, and business buyers are encouraged. See FLIER for savings!
This is a great way to support local Optimists and their youth projects. Again, the lot is open starting November 25, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day through December 23, or until sold out.
Thank you in advance for your assistance and support.

University Hills Turkey Trot – Thursday 11/28
We hope to see you there!!
Each year a former Bradley parent hosts a Turkey Trot run/walk on Thanksgiving morning. You arrive to check in starting at 8:30am and the event starts at 9am. You can go to the Rec Center parking lot to park and that is where the event starts. Funds collected ($10/person or $30/family) for this race are returned to Bradley to help buy food and presents for Bradley families in need this holiday season. It’s a great event and it’s always nice to get a little exercise before eating and lounging and visiting with family! We’d love to see our Bradley community on Thanksgiving morning for a little exercise (rain, snow or shine!). We thank the University Hills community for their donations. Please see the FLIER for more information and we’ll see you there! Donate using this CheddarUp Link.
