School News

  • Reminder: NO SCHOOL over FALL BREAK which is October 12-16.
  • Family Conferences: Look for a sign up from your teacher for conference times for either Tuesday, October 10 or Wednesday, October 11 each night between 3:00pm – 7:00pm.
  • 5th Grade Stargazing! 5th grade had a fantastic night of viewing the stars and planets. They were even able to see Saturn! Thank you to everyone who came out and to Professor Siemen’s from DU for bringing his strong telescope for the gazing event!
  • Scholastic Book Fair: The Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the Library October 9th-11th! We will be open to students Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8am to 3pm.  Families and parents are welcome Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:45pm to 7pm during our Parent/Teacher Conferences! Students will preview the book fair with their teachers on Monday. Families, you can also preorder the NEW Diary of a Wimpy Kid book (available October 24th) at our Book Fair!  Don’t want to send cash with your student, feel free to set up your child’s eWalletEnglish/Spanish fliers!   • CSC Community Election: The Collaborative School Committee (CSC) brings together staff, parents, students, and community members to create and implement plans that promote high achievement within our school. Our goal is for Bradley’s CSC to be representative of Bradley’s entire community, including: families of students in different grade levels (ECE, Kindergarten—5 th grade); students with exceptionalities (IEP, ALP, 504); and students who participate in various academic programs (MLE, GT). This year, we have six (6) parent/guardian openings on Bradley’s CSC. Seventeen (17) dedicated individuals have volunteered to serve on the 2023-24 Bradley CSC. To cast your CSC election ballot for the 2023-24 school year: 1.) Go to the electronic CSC Election Ballot; 2.) thoughtfully review each candidate; 3.) select your top six (6) candidates; and 4.) submit your electronic ballot by Wednesday, October 11.
  • Health Office Needs: If your student borrowed clothes from the health office please wash and return. Also, if you have clothes to donate, we could use smaller size pants, shorts, and underwear for boys and girls. 
  • Lost & Found: There are so many items in our lost and found area. Please stop by and find those missing shoes, coats, water bottles, lunchboxes, etc. All items will be donated on Thursday, October 12th.
  • PTO Fun Run update: Don’t forget to return your pledge envelopes by October 18th in order to be eligible for one of the wonderful prizes! See below for more details.

News from Ms. Roller:

  • A reminder that I am out of the building and returning 10/9.  In my absence, retired Principal Dori Claunch has been here to support Jodie Leatherman and the entire Bradley staff.

News from the Nurse:

  • For students who are ill, please call the Attendance Line at 720.424.9398 
  • ILLNESS SYMPTOMS- If your student has a fever or exhibits any symptoms related to COVID-19 or any other infectious disease they must stay home and avoid coming to school. Anyone with a fever or vomiting must remain home and fever-free for 24 hours without taking fever-reducing medication. Please continue to call the attendance line to report absences. 
  • Students who present these symptoms at school will be sent home (Fever, vomiting, coughing, cruddy/runny nose, etc.)
  • NUTS: Please make sure that you don’t bring items with nuts into the classroom, as we have students with allergies to nuts.
  • MEDICATION: If your student needs medicine during the school day, please contact our nurse Shayla Marak at 720-424-9394 to discuss the necessary paperwork.

PTO Happenings:

  • Bradley Fun Run: Remember to please send in your Fun Run Pledge Envelope with the pledge money as soon as possible! In order for your student to be included in our prize drawing, all pledges must be received no later than Wednesday, Oct. 18 (due date was extended due to fall break).

  • Colorado Medicare: Department helps families apply for free or low-cost health insurance, including Health First Colorado (Medicaid) and CHP+ and SNAP food assistance. We offer one-on-one appointments at any DPS school site. Additionally, we assist families with re-enrollment and utilizing their benefits.   • Hamilton Open House extends a warm invitation to prospective families and future 6th graders eager to explore the enriching educational environment we offer.   • ECE Soap Project: The ECE 4 year old students will take “Action” in their Who We Are Planner, by collecting NEW wrapped or boxed bars of soap. The Soap Drive will kick off on Monday, October 2nd and run through Friday, October 27th. Please have your child bring the donated bars of soap to an ECE 4’s teacher.
