IB Profile of the Month

Our IB learner profile for November is Open-Minded.  When students are open-minded they understand and appreciate their own cultures and personal histories, and are open to the perspectives, values, and traditions of other individuals and communities.  They are accustomed to seeking and evaluating the range of points of view, and are willing to grow from the experience.

Activities for Parents:

  • Encourage your child to try out new things; new food, new games, and new activities.
  • Expose your child to different festivals, celebrations, and traditions and be sure to present them in a non-judgmental way.
  • Model being open-minded and encourage your child to ask questions and to really listen to others as they speak.

News from Ms. Roller:

  • Please be sure to join us for the Principal Selection Events listed above.  All voices are needed in this process!
  • Lost & Found is again full.  We donated a number of items after parent conferences, and will donate any remaining items at Winter Break.  PLEASE check Lost & Found if you are missing any items!
  • Thank you so much to the community for your generosity in providing donations for Thanksgiving Baskets.  This is much appreciated!
  • As you are aware, I am limited in the number of days I can work in a school year as a retired employee.  I have a previously planned trip – planning it for over a year – and will be gone the week after Thanksgiving.  Dori Claunch will be supporting Jodie Leatherman at Bradley IB during this time.

News from the Nurse:

  • For students who are ill, please call the Attendance Line at 720.424.9398
  • ILLNESS SYMPTOMS- If your student has a fever or exhibits any symptoms related to COVID-19 or any other infectious disease they must stay home and avoid coming to school. Anyone with a fever or vomiting must remain home and fever-free for 24 hours without taking fever-reducing medication. Please continue to call the attendance line to report absences.
  • Students who present these symptoms at school will be sent home (Fever, vomiting, coughing, cruddy/runny nose, etc.)
  • NUTS: Please make sure that you don’t bring items with nuts into the classroom, as we have students with allergies to nuts.
