IB Learner Profile of the Month
The Learner Profile for the month of February is Caring. Caring students develop empathy, compassion, and respect towards the needs and feelings of others.  They have a personal commitment to service, and act to make a positive difference in the lives of others and in the environment.

Here are some activities you can do with your child

  • Role model the caring behavior you would like to see in your child all the time.  –Your child has big eyes and big ears and notices everything you do.  Using kind words, helping people without being asked, being an active listener, and showing your child that you care about people. Even a simple thing, like holding the door for someone, shows your child that you are aware of others and want to help them.
  • Smile!
  • After reading a book, spend some time considering how the people in the book acted.  Was someone caring? All of the time or just some of the time? Were all of the characters in the book caring or just some of them?

News from the Nurse:

  • For students who are ill, please call the Attendance Line at 720.424.9398
  • ILLNESS SYMPTOMS- If your student has a fever or exhibits any symptoms related to COVID-19 or any other infectious disease they must stay home and avoid coming to school. Anyone with a fever or vomiting must remain home and fever-free for 24 hours without taking fever-reducing medication. Please continue to call the attendance line to report absences.
  • Students who present these symptoms at school will be sent home (Fever, vomiting, coughing, cruddy/runny nose, etc.)
  • NUTS: Please make sure that you don’t bring items with nuts into the classroom, as we have students with allergies to nuts.
  • MEDICATION: If your student needs medicine during the school day, please contact our nurse Shayla Marak at 720-424-9394 to discuss the necessary paperwork.
