    • American Heart Association Kids Heart Challenge: Heartfelt thanks to the Bradley International School students who’ve learned Hands-Only CPR during Kids Heart Challenge, earned characters delivering heart-healthy messages, and are spreading awareness through texts, emails, and social media! Our goal is to raise $23,000 donations so we can help the American Heart Association and earn PE equipment for our school. As of 2/27/2024 we’ve raised $8,887 donations towards our goal! Want to help? Sign up, donate or get a donation, and complete Finn’s Mission! Download the free app for iPhone or Android, or online: http://www2.heart.org/goto/BradleyInternationalSchoolCO. • DPS Your Voice – Tu Voz Student Survey: 3rd-5th grades ~ March 5th!
The “DPS Your Voice / Tu Voz” Student Survey is nearly here. As we end our school year, we want to know how well we did to make our students feel safe, healthy, welcomed, engaged, & involved.  Results identify successes and highlight opportunities to improve school outcomes so that Every Learner Thrives. All third- through 12th-grade students are invited to participate. The survey invite will be emailed to your student’s DPS email on Monday, March 4 and have until Friday, March 15 to answer the questions. Individual student responses are kept private and anonymous; they are only viewed in combination with hundreds or thousands of others. Students are not required to take the survey. If you prefer that your student not participate in the March survey, please click here to opt them out by 12 p.m. on Friday, March 1. Thank you so much for the input you have given our district through prior DPS “Your Voice/Tu Voz” family and student surveys. Your voice is essential to helping DPS do better!

IB Learner Profile of the Month
The Learner Profile for the month of March is “Thinker”. Students who are thinkers exercise initiative in applying thinking skills critically and creatively to recognize and approach complex problems, and make reasoned, ethical decisions.

Activities for Parents:

  • Challenge your child to try to think of solutions to problems independently (with someone at school or a sibling).
  • Pose different real life problems and questions to your child
-“I wonder how much all the groceries in the cart will cost-how can we make an estimate?”
-“I’m not sure how to arrange these glasses so they will fit in the cupboard.  What do you think?”
  • Ask your child questions when they are working on a problem.
-”Do you have any ideas about how we can begin?”
-”How can we do this differently?”
-”What other ways can we show that?”
-”I had never really thought of that.  Tell me more about it.”

News from the Nurse:

  • Bradley Closet is in Need of clothes: The Bradley closet where students can borrow clothes when they have an accident is running low on boys’ small pants and underwear. The pants can be gently used but underwear should be new. We are looking for size 4-8 in both pants and underwear. We would GREATLY appreciate it!
  • Sandwich ziplock bags: We go through many snack and sandwich bags of ice daily for all the bonks at Bradley! If you have an extra box or could donate a bag, we would greatly appreciate that too!
  • For students who are ill, please call the Attendance Line at 720.424.9398
  • ILLNESS SYMPTOMS- If your student has a fever or exhibits any symptoms related to COVID-19 or any other infectious disease they must stay home and avoid coming to school. Anyone with a fever or vomiting must remain home and fever-free for 24 hours without taking fever-reducing medication. Please continue to call the attendance line to report absences.
  • Students who present these symptoms at school will be sent home (Fever, vomiting, coughing, cruddy/runny nose, etc.)
  • NUTS: Please make sure that you don’t bring items with nuts into the classroom, as we have students with allergies to nuts.
  • MEDICATION: If your student needs medicine during the school day, please contact our nurse Shayla Marak at 720-424-9394 to discuss the necessary paperwork.
