School News

  • NO SCHOOL: Friday, September 22. It is a Teacher Professional Learning and Planning Day.
  • Bradley CSC Meeting | Tues, Sept 19 | 6:30pm | Zoom
Every school within DPS has a Collaborative School Committee (CSC) in place. The CSC brings together staff, parents, students, and community members to create and implement a plan to promote high achievement within the school. At Tuesday’s meeting, we’ll 1.) learn about the upcoming principal selection process from Dr. Christian Sawyer, 2.) get important Bradley updates from Ms. Roller and Ms. Leatherman, and 3.) discuss the upcoming CSC election plan. We hope to see you there! (Zoom Link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88274940004?pwd=aVArNlFmakFqUW5jNFFoYXhtNDFtdz09; Meeting ID: 882 7494 0004; Passcode: 551283.)
  • Bradley Family Literacy Night: Join us on Thursday, September 21st for a family fun filled literacy night from 5:30-7:00pm! We will have pizza and water from 5:30-6:00pm free of charge. Then split off to many different classrooms and activities between 6:00pm-6:30pm and a second section from 6:30-7:00pm. This is not a drop off event – parents must be present with their student(s).
  • It’s not too early to buy a YEARBOOK for this year! We just took our Lifetouch pictures for the yearbook. Buy a yearbook before September 30th and save 10%! See TreeRing FLIER.
  • Please check Lost & Found! We have a number of water bottles, lunch boxes, jackets now that the weather is cooler, and a couple backpacks.  We also have child size prescription glasses in the office that were found:  a purple pair and a black pair. All items will be donated at the end of September. Please consider buying name stickers through the Bradley PTO Spirit Wear to put in coats, on water bottles, on lunchboxes, etc.
  • A continued reminder about parking and traffic around the school.  Out front, the orange curb is reserved for school buses.  The blue curb is for those displaying hang-tags for those with disabilities.  If it is busy out front, please go around the block and return. Things clear out fairly quickly out front after school, but if the buses can’t pull in, the entire street is blocked until buses can get to their spot.
  • Lunch Menu: Monthly Menus
  • PARENT HANDBOOK: 2023-24 Parent Handbook
  • VOLUNTEER: Volunteers in the school must fill out the DPS Volunteer form each year and must be cleared before volunteering in the classroom. DPS Volunteer

News from Ms. Roller:

  • As we move forward with the Principal Selection process, please continue to watch for communication from Denver Public Schools as to how this process works.
  • I will be gone for two weeks – the week of Sept. 25 and Oct. 2, returning on Oct. 9.  In my absence, Dori Claunch (retired DPS Principal and Operational Superintendent) will be at Bradley to support the students, staff and community.
  • Thank you to the PTO for the amazing purple T-Shirts and to those of you who supported our school on Monday for Bradley Dines Out!
  • We will be having our Lock Down Drill on the morning of Wednesday, September 27th. Teachers will be practicing this with their students over the next week.  As always, please talk with your students about the importance of learning about the drills and staying calm and quiet for any directions.
  • Bradley has 2-3 paraprofessional positions currently open.  Please let us know if you are interested in a 7 hour per day position supporting various areas of the school. If you know anyone who might be interested, please share this information with them as well and please contact the school!
