School News

  • Reminder: No school TOMORROW Friday, November 3rd. It’s a Bradley First Friday!
  • Daylight Savings ENDS on Sunday, November 5 at 2:00am. Don’t forget to turn your clocks back 1 hour this weekend!
  • The Your Voice/Tu Voz Family Survey will be administered to all families in the district from Nov. 1-15. Please use this family survey toolkit to help encourage your families’ participation during the survey window. The toolkit includes a template letter, social media posts, a QR code flier, SchoolMessenger templates, as well as a survey FAQ and more.
  • Destination Imagination: Bradley International is looking for parent volunteers! Join us for a parent information session on what it would look like to manage a Destination Imagination team. Meeting will be held in room 122 (GT room) at 3:00 on November 13. This is a great opportunity to have so much fun guiding a team of students to use their creative powers to build teamwork and grow their brains! What is Destination Imagination (DI)??   • Thanksgiving Luncheon: Each year Bradley has a Thanksgiving luncheon for families to eat a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with their students! This year, that will take place on Thursday, November 16th. You will find a flier in Friday folders to sign up and find it HERE. Meals are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for non-Bradley children.

  • VOLUNTEER: Volunteers in the school must fill out the DPS Volunteer form each year and must be cleared before volunteering in the classroom. DPS Volunteer
  • As a reminder, while it is fun to watch your children play with their friends, it is not allowed to take photos of students at Bradley Elementary School, other than your own student.  This is for student privacy reasons.  Thank you for your cooperation.

News from Ms. Roller:

  • We appreciate all of the families who came to celebrate Halloween with us, joined the festivities on the playground and those in the classroom – and I am impressed by the creativity of the Bradley community’s pumpkin carving skills!
  • A reminder of picture retakes on November 7th – it’s coming up fast!
  • With the recent snow, the lost and found is again full of coats, mittens, hats, etc.  If you are missing something, please check it out and reclaim your belongings.
  • Principal Selection Update:   On November 13 there is a Principal Candidates Meet & Greet from 2:30-4:00pm. Then on November 14, there will be a Principal Candidates Virtual Community Forum starting at 5:00-6:30pm. These dates are tentative and will be confirmed as we get closer.

News from the Nurse:

  • For students who are ill, please call the Attendance Line at 720.424.9398 
  • ILLNESS SYMPTOMS- If your student has a fever or exhibits any symptoms related to COVID-19 or any other infectious disease they must stay home and avoid coming to school. Anyone with a fever or vomiting must remain home and fever-free for 24 hours without taking fever-reducing medication. Please continue to call the attendance line to report absences. 
  • Students who present these symptoms at school will be sent home (Fever, vomiting, coughing, cruddy/runny nose, etc.)
  • NUTS: Please make sure that you don’t bring items with nuts into the classroom, as we have students with allergies to nuts.
  • MEDICATION: If your student needs medicine during the school day, please contact our nurse Shayla Marak at 720-424-9394 to discuss the necessary paperwork.

PTO Happenings:

  • Please view the PTO’s October 19th meeting minutes here. The next PTO meeting will be Nov. 16th at 3 p.m. in the library/Zoom. 
  • Thanks to all the families that visited Esters for our October Dines Out fundraiser in October. The next Bradley Dines Out is coming up soon on November 7th at Birdcall in Cherry Hillswe get 25% ALL DAY!

Community News

  • Hamilton Middle School is having a 5th grade student tour Saturday 11/4 and 11/11. More tours will occur in January. Click here for more information and to sign up for a tour.
  • The DPS “Your Voice/Tu Voz” Family Survey opened on Wednesday, Nov. 1 and will close Wednesday, Nov. 15. Families who complete the survey between Nov. 1-15 will be entered to win one of 10 $20 King Soopers gift cards! Preview the questions and review the FAQ before the survey officially opens. Responses to the survey inform decisions on how we can better serve our DPS community, so we want to hear from all our families. Unlike previous years, DPS will administer the survey to families once in the fall and will administer to students once in the spring.
